Namecheap It Is

I have used several Internet domain registrars over the years - personally and for clients & employers.  One or more of the following always soured my experience:
    1) Email- and site-delivered upsells abounded. (e.g. GoDaddy)
    2) Ownership changed and management tools & support went south. (e.g. Aplus.net)
    3) Pricing for the registrations themselves or privacy were unreasonable to me. (e.g. Register.com and Network Solutions)

Namecheap is the best combination of price, management features & support, and low upsells I have found.  If you want to register or transfer a domain for personal or business use, I highly recommend Namecheap.

(Disclaimer:  I will get a portion of Namecheap's meager profit if you register a domain through them using the link provided herein.  I still recommend them even if you want to let them keep all their profit.) :}

A Guaranteed Lesson in Customer Service

If you want a guaranteed lesson in customer service – and you're in the market for a subwoofer (beyond any you've probably experienced or imagined), I highly recommend that you contact HSU Research in Anaheim, California. Buying a HSU sub (a VTF-3 HO) was an incredible experience – way beyond my expectations. Pete, Dr. Hsu, and – last but not least – Cuddles, thanks for everything!

Then there's the sub itself!!! :-D ...more to come soon. ;-)

End of the Innocence?

Now that Google has agreed to buy DoubleClick, I wonder how many knee-jerk zealots in clubs Micro$ux and M$ will leave club Google for club Googl€. Their reflexes may be slow (and require more taps), but knees will surely jerk. Thankfully I find such chapters in the Angry Geek Saga hilarious.

As if this wasn't already (heck, inherently) obvious, it's abundantly clear that Google's brainiacs are bloodthirsty for profit just like Evil Bill and his cronies. Forget the cover of OSS and being the underdog that rose to the top. This is how enterprise works. Get it, über angsters?

I say God bless 'em! DoubleClick is a smart move for Google; their shareholders are well served; and, hey, there's always Internet Junkbuster. ;->
